Analysis Status
What happens after you run an analysis in Intel and how to track its progress.
What Happens After You Run an Analysis
After you click Run Analysis in Intel (the analysis surface at /dashboard/analyze), your call moves through several processing stages before your coaching results are ready. You'll see a live status indicator on screen, and a small progress notification keeps updating even if you move to another page.
The Processing Stages
Depending on how you submitted the call, you may see these stages:
- Uploading — your audio file is being uploaded (audio uploads only).
- Transcribing — AssemblyAI is turning the audio into a transcript and labeling speakers (audio uploads only).
- Queued — the call is waiting for a processing slot. You may see your queue position here.
- Creating — the call record is being saved.
- Analyzing — the AI is reviewing the transcript, scoring your technique, and generating coaching insights.
- Done — your results are ready. You're redirected to the call automatically (with a short countdown and a View Now button).
Transcript, share-link, and JSON submissions skip the uploading and transcribing stages. The whole process usually takes from under a minute to a few minutes, depending on call length and how busy the queue is.
Tracking Progress
You don't have to stay on the page. The progress notification follows you around the dashboard, and finished analyses are always available in History (your calls list) at /dashboard/calls.
If Something Goes Wrong
Occasionally an analysis can hit a temporary issue (for example, the AI provider being briefly overloaded). When that happens:
- Transient provider problems are automatically re-tried with a backoff delay before the call is marked failed — you don't need to do anything during that window.
- If a job ends in an error state, the progress notification shows a Retry option so you can resubmit it.
A credit is only used when an analysis actually runs. The credit count on the Intel page re-syncs with the server when a job finishes or errors, so the on-screen number stays accurate. See Understanding Credits.
Troubleshooting
- Stuck on a stage for a long time: Refresh the page. If a job still appears stuck after about 10 minutes, retry it from the notification.
- Analysis failed: Use the Retry option in the notification. If it keeps failing, the transcript may have formatting issues — clean it up and resubmit via the Paste Transcript tab (see Pasting a Transcript).
