Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step at sign-in: after your password, you enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app. Even if someone has your password, they can't get in without that code.
2FA in CloseIntel uses time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) and is available for admin accounts. The setup controls appear on the 2FA tab in Settings for admins; it's required for some admin roles.

Signing In with 2FA
When 2FA is enabled on your account:
- Enter your email and password as usual.
- When prompted, open your authenticator app and type the current 6-digit code.
- Click Verify.
On the verification screen you can check Never ask again on this device to skip the code on future sign-ins from that same browser. Use this only on devices you trust — avoid it on shared or public computers.
